Where the Super-Rich Vacation

Musha Cay, Bahamas

For $37,500 a day you and up to 24 guests can rent a private island oasis owned by Magician David Copperfield.

The resort hosts 11 private islands with 700 acres and a private airstrip. Five guest houses overlook a private beach in the Caribbean.

Afraid you’ll have to hunt for your own food? Dine on the beach by candlelight or enjoy fresh seafood at the island’s Balinese Beach Pavilion.

After a delightful dinner enjoy a movie under the stars at Dave’s Drive-In.

A personal yoga, Pilates, and fitness trainer will be brought in to keep you in tip-top private island shape.

Eleven islands, enough activities to enjoy for days, exquisite meals, and 33 workers at your beck and call. I would say that qualifies for getting away from it all.

Just got back from the islands and looking to explore the sights? Why not Paris, France?

Andrew Harper’s Ultimate Paris Itinerary

For $300,000 you can see Paris at its finest. Andrew Harper’s ultimate Paris vacation provides the perfect itinerary inclusive of themed days.

After arriving by private jet, you’ll be greeted by one of Andrew’s staffers who will chauffeur you to the Ritz Hotel where a 24 hour on-call staff awaits you.

Tour the Louvre or Musee d’Orsay on Art day and dine at one of the finest dining establishments in the city, Restaurant le Meurice Alain Ducasse.

On Fashion Day you will receive a private Couture fitting at Chanel, for when you realize you didn’t pack enough. Jewels and Fragrance Day gives you the opportunity to design your own signature scent.

Andrew Harper has you covered from head to toe. Now if only this didn’t cost an arm and a leg.

However, the price may make even the wealthiest cringe, so why not explore the neighboring cities of Italy?

Live in a Venice Palazzo

For $47,000 a week you can live like a Royal. Unique Properties and Events allow you access to some of the most exclusive addresses in Venice. Stay in a palace which former residences include Royals, Aristocrats, and the super-rich.

Unique Properties service will handle anything or nothing at all for you. Prefer to do it all yourself but would like maid service? No problem.

Need someone to make your reservations for tours, dinners, and shopping sprees? They can do it all.

They provide the finest accommodations without the hassle of hotel services. Plus saying you stayed in a Palazzo just sounds fabulous.

Already been to Venice and looking for something more tropical, minus the hefty price tag?

Perivolas Hotel – Santorini, Greece

For a mere $2,000 per night or $14,000 for an entire week, you may stay in a Perivolas Suite.

Your private quarters boast 1,507 square feet of luxury. A private beauty spa holds a steam bath and hydrotherapy massage pool overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

If you don’t feel like joining the public at the Perivolas hotel, enjoy a private infinity pool and grand terrace, with panoramic views of the Mediterranean.

Santorini is recognized as the ultimate Honeymoon get-away.

With a suite like this, you’ll have to see the sights on your way to and from the airport since your room confines seem like paradise.

The super-rich have graduated, and some may pay $1.5-million for vacation. The world’s most expensive vacation is being offered so the super-rich can wind their way through 157 countries, and feel like multi-millionaires.

The vacation consists of a visit to every World Heritage Site identified by UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). The trip costs so much because there are now 962 World Heritage Sites, and it takes two years to complete.

The trip is for sale on VeryFirstTo.com, a luxury British online retailer aimed at attracting top super-rich clients.

“This is certainly the most exciting trip we have ever managed and is the most remarkable travel adventure imaginable,” Andrew Barker, managing director of Hurlingham Travel, told The London Telegraph.

A good way to think of this trip is as a 21st Century version of the Grand Tour, in which wealthy Britons and Americans visit the major sites of Italy during the 18th Century.

Tourists on this new age grand tour will stay in luxury in some of the world’s top hostelries, including the George V in Paris, the Plaza in New York and the Ritz Carlton in Moscow.

Tourist attractions include the Taj Mahal, the Pyramids, Angkor Wat, the Forbidden City and Machu Picchu. You’ll have to have some time to take the trip because it’ll take a full two years to see everything.

If you don’t have two years to devote to vacation there are plenty of other options to enjoy an excursion customized for the super-rich.
